To begin I die cut the entire rose and leaves out of black and the challenge colors. I then glued the black frame only, not the pieces, onto the sparkly white card stock. Then I added all the calypso coral pieces like a puzzle into the black frame. I then did the same for the leaves alternating between the lost lagoon and old Olive. I adhered everything with multi matte medium as it dries matte bc I am a messy gluer lol. For the mat panel, I used lost lagoon and stamped the rose over and over, even overlapping with versafine black onyx ink and heat embossed with clear to give texture and prevent smearing. This panel was glued directly to a side folding card of basic black. The front panel was propped up with fun foam and glued onto the lost lagoon panel. The card was finished off with matte black sequins.

OMG, Roselee! This looks like a gorgeous stained glass panel... lovely detail and sounds like a labor of love. Be sure to share this stunning card with someone who will appreciate your efforts... I probably would keep it for myself and frame it, LOL.

The way you interpreted the color challenge using the rose turned out so pretty. The detail I like best is the heat embossed background behind the flower. It reminds me of mosaic or cracked glass. Oh. Or maybe, since this is the stained glass technique, the leading between the glass.

I love the stained glass you got with this card. I love the mix of greens in the leaves and embossing the shapes over and over in the background add such a nice touch. Love it. Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts.

Absolutely gorgeous, Roselee! Your card might have taken a little while to assemble but, WOW, it's worth it! And you probably have some pieces left over to do another! I have to check out that matte medium because I am a messy gluer, too! lol
