This is the card I made for this week's teapot party. We were asked to bring butterflies to our own FarmerKay (Carolyn). She's struggling with undiagnosed health issues.
I had this beautiful SU stamp out from making a previous card, and thought it would would well for the background. It was stamped on heavy card stock with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear ep. I applied shimmer watercolor liberally and dried with a heat tool.
The card front was faced with Petallics Snow Willow paper before I added the embossed background. The first part of the sentiment was stamped, embossed and die cut, and the word "prayers" was cut from craft foam and the Petallics paper. The layers were glued together and attached to the card.
The butterfly background was cut from vellum, and the Petallics overlay attached at the body only. The sentiment flag was trimmed to size and the butterfly attached. The flag was added to the card with foam tape. I hope this card helps Carolyn in some small way.
As always, thanks for looking!
