For this weeks WTUI challenge - check out the details here: WT569 ~ Tape It Up.
I made this for the 8 year-old daughter of a work colleague who went to the Peanuts movie at Christmas and loved it. I used the Pop-Up Book tutorial which is found HERE.
For the front, I photographed a page from one of my books (I know, usually I do not breach copyright at all, but I've given away all my older books that I would have been happy to use an actual book page), edged it with a black pen and then added a banner with little strips of washi tape folded over a length of twine, and the ends snipped into banner shapes. Then I added the image, coloured with pencils and with Glossy Accents on the balloons.
If you like to see the inside of the card, it's HERE.

Sabrina this is absolutely delightful. I wondered how you got such a great BG paper, I too might think about tearing out a page from a book but alas I don't have any Peanuts books, I have Marvel. I might get in trouble from DH if I tore out a Marvel page for a card. Giggles. This is so darling and I am sure your coworkers daughter will just love this. Super job on the banner with the Washi tape too. Thank you for such a fun challenge this week.
