I began by creating a wood grain background (tutorial). After it dried I cut a frame from it (leaves me with the center piece to use on another card). Cut the black center and added the sentiment, dragon fly and cat tails. Assembled and adhered to a blue base. My inspiration was this water fall in black, blue and white.

What an extraordinary interpretation of your inspiration, Priscilla. Beautiful bg that really reflects the painting's waterfall. Bold and beautiful, as usual.

Oh I can definitely see your inspiration piece in your work! I thought your woodgrain was DP until I read that you created it. How wonderful it looks! This is a great guy card but very versatile - great for anyone! Love your card!

The woodgrain background is fantastic! Love the colors, I bet the whole piece was really spectacular. The white die cuts absolutely pop - so dramatic! Thanks for providing the link to the tutorial!
