July 2015 was the last time I uploaded a card, although I have made a couple since then just not uploaded.
Got myself into a terrible mess (a bit rusty).
The card is a simple one using the colours from this weeks colour challenge and also the sketch challenge for this week.
I was trying not to make the card too feminine as it is for my DH, so went with bakers twine dyed with the Strawberry Slush and rapped around the card then used some raffia again dyed with the Strawberry Slush ink.
The greeting was stamped with the Strawberry Slush then over stamped with Versa Mark watermark and then covered with clear embossing powder to give it a bit of definition and also because it's my favorite technique.
Thanks for looking
Cheers
Marg

Marg, this is a lovely Valentine's Day card! Don't be to hard on yourself. It's difficult to find the groove at times (believe me I know). I took a good look at your twine. Did you use waxed twine? If so, maybe that's why you felt you had a hard time. Never-the-less, it looks just fine. I think this makes a wonderful Valentine for the hubby.

This is great. I liked it right away! Creative take on the sketch and wonderful use of the colors. I like the twine and the raised sentiment oval. Love the hearts for Valentines. This is a fun card. Welcome back! Hope to see more of your cards in the galleries soon. TFS
