This is a fun project. The sunflower image is an actual photo that I took this past summer in northeast Kansas in a 40-acre field of sunflowers! SWOON!
I converted the photo to a watercolor art piece that I printed on the Epson P600 SureColor printer, accented with watercolor paint and stamped sentiment this morning in honor of Kansas Day. The sunflower is our state flower!
Oh, I am sure it was incredible to be in the midst of all those beautiful sunflowers! That's something I miss. Even in town many of the homes would have a small patch of sunflowers! My memories are sprinkled with passing rolling wheat fields on our drives to Council Grove to see my great grandparents. Thanks for sparking memories with your gorgeous cards! Oh, Kansas day!
I also have a photo of a field of sunflowers that is amazingly similar to yours. You have turned yours into a wonderful card and have inspired me to do something more with mine besides stuck to the fridge.
Kansas girl too!
