This is my finished card using Brush Stroke Techniques on Day 1 of my online card watercoloring Intermediate Class. I need more practice on my flowers, but was happy with my 1st attempt. I added splatters too. The blue strip was a piece of WW that I painted with the Ultramarine Blue paint.
My sentiment is covering up a boo, boo where I dropped my loaded brush...whoops! I covered my Thank you stamp with the blue paint and stamped onto the WC paper. I used a #4 paint brush and gave my stamped sentiment another layer of paint to darken it. Worked great. Then sponged the edges with Pear Pizzazz ink and added the sequins and dimensionals.
I am happy with the results, but want to try bigger, bolder flowers next time. The class has been amazing. So inspiring with awesome teachers and videos :-)
Enjoy and I will be back with more soon...TFL..

Wow, you are doing a fantastic job with these classes! I did have a chuckle at the dropped brush. Doesn't that happen all the time? Beautiful cover up! This is another one I thought, sure looks easy but I know when I do it, it's a different story! Congratulations on your success!

So glad you came up with the idea of adding the sentiment over the "boo boo" as your cornflowers are so lovely it would have been a shame not to use them.

Great card, Nancy! I love your perky little blue flowers and the sentiment banner is a great way to rescue the piece! I really like the blue and green accent strips, too! I'm impressed with your cards and admire you for taking the plunge!

I rightfully impressed with your talents, Ms. Nancy. You say you need practice on your flowers and I say, "wow, this girl sure knows how to paint." I think your two cards are beautiful. Very artistic and warm. Success !!!!
