Another finished card using techniques from my online card Intermediate Watercoloring Class. Day 1 was Watercolored Washes and Brush Stroke Techniques. I used a #6 flat brush for the chevrons and a #8 round brush for background.
I was going to make the entire front as a chevron, but looking at the pencil lines a tree shape kept popping out at me...sooo I went with a Geometric Tree Design for my main image. My practice Watercolor Wash piece worked great for a background :-)
I am so pleased with the results. Hope you like it too. TFL...

When I saw this technique I thought nope, not doing that! I give you SO much credit for the patience, Nancy and love the way you think! So creative and beautifully done!

My immediate thought was "Beam me up Scottie". Nancy this looks great, if ever SCS travel to the next Galaxy, this could be our logo!!! I love your watercolouring and thank you for sharing your homework. Now go to bed....it's a school night young lady.

Well now, just look at you! A wizard with WC'ing I see. This is beautiful, Nancy. Soft pastels in the chevron and bg are striking. You've obviously a natural. I'm going to have to think about this class. Very cool indeed.

I agree--you see a tree, I see a space ship. Either way, it's great!
I have registered for this class, but have not started it yet. It is too far along already, so I am just going to wait and do it independently, at my own pace.
You go, girl! Who knows, we may see YOU teaching a WC class someday.

How beautiful Nancy, so different and way cool! I have not even done the first class yet, but I will be soon, and then I will do the second. With the exchange it is a real hit for Canadians ... blah, blah!
