I have been in a slump, and this is my first card posted in a month. I wish I could have gotten a better picture of it, the image of the girl looks more crisp IRL. I guess I'm just happy to have made something.
Not that I haven't been trying. I have lots of false starts and lying all over my studio, to my dismay. (That's called negative thinking.)
But just think - when my mojo returns and I finish them all I'll have many cards to post! (That's called positive reframing.)
TFL!

I would be more than happy with that - and as you say, rejects can almost always be recycled and given a new lease of life. Fabulous image - it reminds me of my grandmother, and I love the soft look of the greenery behind her. The sun and script add to the old-fashioned feel perfectly.

I LOVE that image...you know me and photo type stamps..they speak to me. This one looks like my mom as a girl. I think this turned out great..as always you add an element of the unexpected..I love the color of that little faux button in the corner! I've been reading your "mojo" thread...not sure I have any suggestions but sometimes all it takes is one new element to pull some of those rejects together. Or switch them around totally...if I get a layout in my mind and it doesn't work I usually play around with all the elements, moving them or taking them out altogether. Just let the art take you where it will...and don't fret ;)

I just love the way you colored that little girl! It fits so well with this vintage photo stamp, Robin! You accessorized her beautifully without detracting from the image! Would love to see more of your work too!

Great card, love the girl and your soft coloring. She reminds me of my mom too, I think it's the haircut!. I also like how you've framed her with the offset frame and the sun. Looking forward to seeing all those cards you'll be posting : )
