What a fabulous challenge today set by Linda - Our Small Corner of the World - well here's mine!
I live in the county of Wiltshire, in the south of England. At the end of my village (200 houses) there is Wilton House, originally a priory founded by King Egbert in circa 871. Following dissolution of the monasteries by Henry Vlll it was given to William Herbert, 1st Earl of Pembroke, an ally of Henry. William Herbert is now the 18th Earl and happily he opens the magnificent house and gardens during the summer months - we can picnic on the grass by the river and famous Palladian Bridge. A few miles up the road is Stonehenge, Britain's most important prehistoric monument - completed in 3500 BC.
My concertina card depicts our famous Cathedral, the foundations of which were laid in 1220. It has the tallest spire in the country, 404 ft, and houses the best surviving copy of the 4 original copies of the Magna Carta. The county is famous for it's beautiful rolling chalk hills and my card shows that from which ever point of the compass you head towards our city you can see the Cathedral and magnificent spire.
I made the concertina card and added hills to the folds. I cut the 'Cathedral' on my Cricut at 3'' adding some light to the windows with a white scrap. I used a label die for the window to my world! My attempt at stained glass windows was not a success!

So fascinating to read. It's not a part of the UK I ever got to when I lived and worked there; chalk hills (and downs) always sound so intriguing and fascinating to me. I blush to admit I never even got to Ely Cathedral when I lived near there - it was just a little too far to cycle. But where I lived, we did have a 15thC church in the grounds, it was such a peaceful place to go and sit. Thanks for sharing not just a gorgeous CAS card but such interesting background details too.
