So, I've been on holidays and doing absolutely NOTHING and it was glorious! It's usually during this down time that we stop and actually take in a lot more of what's happening around us since we aren't part of the crowd madly rushing around. Sadly my blissful vacation is now over but as I popped by the Teapot Tuesday Challenge to 'Make a card with the theme of taking life one day at a time' it reminded me that we all need to Stop and Smell the Roses even when the vacation is over! What better to create a card with a luscious big pink rose as a reminder!

Love the bold colors of your rose. What great advice to stop and smell the roses. Love the layout and everything else about this beautiful card. Well done. Glad you had a great holiday doing nothing, you sure came back with a bang! hehe TFS :0)

Kathy, this is gorgeous, and I just love this rose that is both beautifully colored and fussy cut! Wow, what a lot of work, but it's so worth it! And I also love the beautiful layout with one of my favorite decorative dies. Stunning card, sweet friend! You are amazing and so delight us! Hugs!

What a beautiful idea! And, if I may say, beautifully executed! Your pretty rose image is colored so nicey - and your fussy cutting is impressive. Love your delicate Nestie choice and your pink trim reminds me of a brides's garter (wonderful effect). Sue would love this! Thank you so much for coming to her Teaparty. Now make sure to get some of those calendar cookies, the did turn out well ;) Hugs from NJ.
