For Robin's Snow, dudette F4A challenge yesterday!
Before Christmas I left a comment on an upload of Claudia's which used this sentiment (her upload is HERE); I said how perfect it would be for my DH who is a total Grinch when it comes to Christmas. What a wonderful surprise to find a card from her on Monday morning as I struggled back to work, containing a few cute knitting sheep and the sentiment. So I've made DH's card already before I forget what I had in mind. I wanted the Grinchy sheep outside in the cold looking in at a warm cozy Christmas scene, so that worked perfectly for Robin's challenge.
Background: stamped the trees, embossed them, sponged the sky with blues and added chunky white EP for snow. Then several layers of torn glitter card.
For the house - it's pearlescent card embossed with a Taylored Expressions ef after cutting the window out. It's layered up on thick foam, with acetate for the window; I coloured the Purple Onion tree with pencils and Sakura pens, then masked it and sponged in the warm light. Added Stickles for the tinsel on the tree, and some TH tinsel trim to decorate the top of the window. Outside I added a little window box cut from a scrap and filled with greenery.
The sheep is stamped on thin watercolour paper and minimally coloured with pencils, then popped up on foam and a final layer of glitter snow added.
I trimmed the sentiment, sponged it with blue, added white gel pen dots and edged it with silver before popping it up on foam.
The non-house edge of the card is finished with a silver pen - with more time I might use Stickles and make it look a bit neater, but I love how this turned out. Thanks so much, Claudia!!

After the story about your DH, I can see where the idea for this card came from!! LOL, the look on this sheep's face as she - or he - peeks into the window at such a warm scene, should illicit a HUGE chuckle from DH! I keep going back to look at all the special effects you added to make this snowy day look so REAL! The glistening snow drifts, the sky filled with snowflakes, the flower box, the tinsel, and the warm glow inside! What a delight ! LOVE IT!

Sabrina, I am just all out of superlatives to describe your cards. I love this adorable scene, and the sentiment is sooo perfect. It would take me 3 weeks to use all the materials and techniques that you added to this card. I pinned this to try to use a few of your terrific ideas on future cards....I really need an "amazing Sabrina" board. Pinned and faved.
