I'm up late with my adult kids home for the weekend and me wanting to spend every minute I can with them. They were watching TV together and I pulled out my new toys, Chameleon Pens, and played around. I was perusing the CAS favorites for 2015 board and saw this beautiful poppy card so I freehand drew the poppies with a Micron pen. I started with my Summer Sun pen and went around the tops of the petals and along the sides of the buds. I then used my Crimson pen. I traced over the stems with the Spring Meadow. I added some small dots of color with the Crimson and also the Micron pens. I added some Wink of Stella (another new toy) but couldn't capture it with my photo. I wanted to keep my sentiment simple and script and since I didn't have the stamp I wanted, I just wrote it myself. To put the card together I added a simple black frame and put it onto a Turquoise base.

Ok, my first thought was simple and elegant, but then I read your description and holy wow...you freehand drew that!?! AND you wrote out your own sentiment? Mind blown...that is all! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!

Wow!! This is awesome! Love your hand drawn flowers and your hand written "happy". Looking at your card makes me happy. I love the open space, the delicate speckle around the blossoms, the matting and your lovely artwork! Amazing card. TFS
