What a wonderful site for inspiration this week! I spent nearly an hour just looking at those gorgeous art pieces. I can't say that I picked one in particular I just got inspired by them all...and a little carried away I guess. I used my watercolour palette so I can't remember the names of the colours but I also 'flicked' some white acrylic for sort of a snow look. The tree die is from Sizzix and the greeting is sticky backed fun foam cut with a Cheery Lynn die. The white snowflake and black heart backgrounds are bits of handmade paper I have had for eons!

I like those deep rich colours. I'm giggling , though, because your title made me think of all the "novels" Snoopy writes starting with "It was a dark and stormy night...". The paper you used for the tree is simply gorgeous.

Love the look of the 'Christmas' tree in non-Christmas colours! As said above it really looks like New Year's! The dramatic black negative cut looks fantastic. I have some of those papers too and you have used them to perfection here. :-)
