I love New York City and I wanted to capture the vibrancy of the colors and lights. I die cut my skyline from a piece of rejected watercolor design from a prior project. I sprayed it with water and kept adding Color Burst Powders until I got the effect I wanted.
I dried the paper with my heat gun and used strong adhesive to attach it to a piece of white cardstock. I got my paint brush very saturated with green watercolor paint and added the splatters to the design.
What a better way to start the new year than by having some watercolor fun.

Wonderful card! Such a festive view of NYC. Perfect for the New Year. Your colours are gorgeous and the spatters add a lot of movement. Such a joyous card!

Oh la la! WOW! This is the BIG APPLE!
You have been able to transmit the energy of this artistic and eclectic city! When I looked at length this watercolor image, it seems that I can even see the trees of Central Park! Awesome!
