Better late than never. I began working on this card on the day the challenge came out and only got as far as cutting out the die frame and the background to be pieced. I had to put the die away and try not to dislodge the little pieces of rainbow colour. Fun and games - they were flying everywhere as I lifted them. I only lost four little pieces from the outside frame so had to try and cut some more from the same colour.
I used a sheet of water colour background that I had made and some glittery gold for the body of the bird.
The background is a gelli plate and for the stamping around the sides - I was channelling Susie Australia for that one - as she does these backgrounds so very well. I am learning.
I hope you enjoy my little bird in paradise.

Wow Helen this is sensational!!! Your Gelli plate background is incredible and you have to know how much I love the silhouette stamped borders!! The framed 'lead light' bird is gorgeous too my friend.

Oh, Helen, this is just gorgeous! I love your background and the foliage stamped top and bottom. But, it's that bird with the gold feathers , that really grabbed my attention, set against the beautiful stained glass look of the background inside the oval.
