One of my favourite stamps is the Stampendous Snowy Postcard but I've never used just the centre part of it, so when I saw this card by Pat (this week's Featured Stamper), I knew it was the one I wanted to CASE:
Using just the middle of the stamp makes it less Christmas-y so it was perfect for a Happy New Year card I wanted to make.
I also CASEd Pat's use of dp behind the stamp (but only used one kind) and also Pat's placement of the sentiment below and to the right of the image. I changed the colour scheme and made my card more CAS.
I rubbed Versamark over the image and heat embossed it with a sparkly embossing powder - hard to pick up in the photo.

Lovely card with an awesome, wintry image. I see all the sparkle and it looks like an icy scene.

Oh I can see the sparkly snow perfectly! I love your snowy scene! The light blue speckley paper supports the image very well. Nice clean New Year's card!

Oh, I'm so glad I came to take another look at the FS gallery! You can see that this is the one stamp I have used several times in my gallery! It is one of my favorites, also! I love the background paper you used - the blue adds to the icy effect you achieved with the iridescent ice! And you are right about it being perfect for this New Year card! It's beautiful!

Such a beautiful Winter scene Susan. I love how you used just part of the stamp and clear EB powder heat EB your image. One of my favorite techniques to make an image really pop and the colors shine. TFS my friend. Happy New Year too.
Hugs, Nancy
