This is my card for the IC524 challenge "Buttons". We were asked to choose our inspiration from Polly's (peeps321) Pinterest board full of gorgeous button images. I was inspired by this button, except I used a cat.
I stamped the image, scanned it into Photoshop so I could erase the cat in the image and printed it out. I die cut the labels, sponged the edges and attached the cat button (after removing the shank) with thin foam pieces adhered with Tacky Glue. The "hairball" is embroidery floss that I dampened with watered down glue and rolled into a ball. I attached to the focal image and snipped some of the threads to give it a rougher texture.
I faced the card base with dp and added the trim, which is perforated with an MFT die. The focal panel is popped up on craft foam.
Polly, I loved looking at your board and I hope you like my inspired card!
As always, thanks for looking!

Oh my gosh this is such a hoot Jody. A cat with a hair ball was the last thing I expected to see when I first saw the very stylish and sofisticated background. I am still laughing as I type, I don't believe I have ever read instructions on how to create a faux hair ball. Merry Christmas my friend. Xx
