This is for IC524 and THIS is my inspiration piece. Let me just say that this was an absolutely amazing Pinterest board and this image wasn't the only thing I pulled off it to post in my studio for future inspiration. I wished I could have done a more faithful interpretation, but I don't seem to be a true vintage type of gal. What I did was take the images on the buttons and make a composite, using three small images I found among my stamps. The house is from a Character Constructions set, the bird is from a Hero Arts set and the floral sprig from an SU hostess set I've had since I first started stamping. You'll note that I listed my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig in my Accessories and I did that because my SAMJ has not been getting much love from me since I bought my MISTI, but in this particular case, it was definitely a Stamp A Ma Jig I needed to place those sprigs around the bird and the house. So hooray for my SAMJ and hooray for me for not saying "Well, I won't be needing THIS old thing anymore" and doing something dumb like losing it in a closet.
Focal image colored with Inktense pencils. The BG was one I had in my BG bin, it's an IO lace BG stamp that I inked with two (or was it three?) colors and misted with water for a watercolor effect. I thought the hardest part of this was going to be getting all the stamps on the focal image aligned nicely, and then I thought it was going to be coloring them in neatly, and then it turned out to be figuring out what to put in the holes of those three blue buttons. Sheesh. Notice I never give my cards a difficulty rating? That's because they are all a 5 to me, even when they look like a 1.
Audrie, thanks for this awesome challenge!

Robin, this is beautiful! Your coloring is so well done and the embellishing is perfect! This is such a great take on your inspiration too. I got a few chuckles from your description too, especially the difficulty rating. I sure agree with that one!

Loved your description...lol. Beautiful card Robin!!! I love your circle scene with all the different stamps...(hooray for SAMJ). And again you bg is fab..that lacy IO bg stamp is so pretty and text and music papers are always a welcome addition to any card (I believe). I might classify your style as vintage but with a modern twist if that makes sense. Fabulous card!! Thanks for playing along my friend.

The colours in this are beautiful, lightening yet another grey morning here. I think your main panel has quite the vintage feel with the images you have used, and what is 'true' vintage anyway? I often struggle with choosing what to use in a button to, so I hear you on that one!!

Pretty!! So many lovely elements and they all work together to make a very eye-pleasing card. Love the background with the contrast of the lace and musical score. The main images in the scallop circle with black mat is fabulous. Very nicely done! TFS
