This is my card for Ky's MIX150 Counting the Days challenge. I don't actually need any more Christmas projects apart from DH's card, but I did take my inspiration from the little opening tabs on the Advent calendars I loved as a child. And actually, my everlasting Advent calendar which my mother got for me the year she had her heart attack (and which I forgot to take out this year, shock!!) is a woodland Christmas.
The background is from my spares box. I think it was a failed crayon resist with homemade shimmer mists, and then I ended up embossing the trees with white. Today I partially die-cut an oval door in the trunk, and tucked a little owl in behind it.
I added a sentiment stamped and cut with Mega Ovals and stitched across the top. Along the bottom I added an IO bunny (forgot to add some white Liquid Pearls to his tail, I'll do that now!) and some mushrooms, and then several rows of stitching for grass.

Aw, Sabrina, what a delightfully special card! I love that you took inspiration from your Advent calendar to include a tiny owl, perched up in the tree! The stitching at the top to hold your sentiment and at the bottom, to create grass, adds such a 'homey' element - love the bunny, playing by the toadstools is the cutest idea for this 'walk in the woods'!
