This is the card I made for Diane's VSN challenge - she invited us to travel to Japan and celebrate the tea ceremony.
I actually put my teapot into the background and majored on some of her bonuses, but I went to the wire with the time limit on this and didn't have time to add a friendship sentiment. I did use origami paper which (at least the doll's dress and background) came from the Japanese Cultural Centre in Paris, which I love visiting.
I used Lydia's Paper Doll tutorial, stamped teapots on my background paper, and added a Good Luck knot tied with Mizuhiki cord - also from Japan.

Gosh, it would take me 45 minutes to figure out how to tie the cord! This card is so intense- love all the details, layers, and special materials from Japan.

Wonderful !! Love your unique take on my Japanese tea challenge. Stamping the teapot in the background is clever. Love the Japanese doll and the authentic Japanese paper. The knot is a fun accent. Great card. Love it! Thanks for participating in my challenge representing Japan.
