This is my card for Tricia's VSN challenge - to trravel to Holland and use tulips. I do have at least two tulip stamps and some stylized flowers that could pass as tulips, but I thought I'd go down the punch-art route.
I used a combination of the bird wing from the SU bird builder punch, along with a tear-drop and a leaf. I sponged the edges with Merlot and shaped them slightly with a stylus, and then added handcut leaves and stems.
For the embossed layer, I wanted to keep a clean look but still have a little detail, so I stamped Canvas in Antique Linen and then embossed with a chevron ef and sponged the edges with Merlot. I wrapped some lace around it, and added a felt doily to highlight the tulip blossoms.

The tulips are just genius. The white lace is so Dutch - reminds me of my grandmother's window curtains-starched and freshly billowing in the breeze.
