Today in 1990 Sir Tim Berners-Lee, with help from Robert Cailliau, published a formal proposal for the World Wide Web. Sabrina asked for 'ways to communicate' cards. As you know the first hook-ups for the internet were via the telephone, aka dial up. I have no computer image so I went with a 'dial up' old telephone! And where would we be without a telephone?
For my card, I used some dsp from my stash ... it reminded me of old wallpaper. And remember the telephone table with a doily? My phone sits on one! The receiver is on pop dots - it's ringing off the hook!! I used my faux misti for the stamping the phone cords, the numbers & the Hello.
Thanks Sabrina for a fun challenge!
Thanks for stopping by.

You were posh - we didn't have a doily for ours, LOL. Great paper choice, and I love the way the curly cord is trailing over the edge of the card like that. What a great card for the challenge, Karen.

Sure love your old style phone here!! In the gold old days, that was the only way to communicate...how far we have come!! Great die cut and I love how you put it on a doily!

Great paper choice for this antique looking phone and love the dimension of the receiver on pop dots. Awesome job with your faux Misti. We use to have a telephone table that had a seat connected to it and a box for the phone books. No doily on our table though. I have to wonder if my mom still has that piece of furniture. She keeps everything but just moved recently so not sure where she stored it during the move. LOL! I will have to ask her.

This is a well thought out card for the challenge. You did recreate a room scene with the telephone. Paper does look like wallpaper, and yes the famous doilies that adorned tables, couches etc. They really are a work of art. Tfs

What a fantastic die cut telephone, Karen! And, your designer paper? My first glance at this card, I thought, "my grandma's wallpaper"! Love this phone, bold card.
