We were away for the weekend, and this image is one I stamped and took with me to colour - I used Polychromos pencils. Once back home, I fussy-cut it, and yesterday I created a background for it.
Background - white card embossed with IO Flourishes using Versamark and clear EP. I sponged it with mostly tumbled glass, and greens down where it would show under the foliage. Embossed it with the brocade ef and sponged on stormy sky. Now it was too dark, so I just sponged gesso over it all to tone it down. Image is popped up on foam in several places, and layered onto black card edged with a gold pen.
Butterfly - stamped on vellum with white and embossed with clear. Coloured on reverse side with Sharpies, then a coat of Versamark and Iridescent Ice on the top side. After cutting it out I edged it with a gold pen.

This is wonderful.
The bg swirls are like the flight of the butterfly-and a really pretty color shade. The flowers are colored so well and the butterfly is just beautiful.

Wow! That is top line fussy cutting! Your sponged greens really do show through all the cut out gaps around your flowers! That's an amazing image to colour. Very challenging I should think. You've done a lovely job and then took it further by layering it over that beautiful background. Your mastery of different media is very impressive. Lovely card!
