My Grandmother had a brick wall that had a fireplace in it. Christmas time she always hung all 5 of her grand kids stockings on the mantel.
To make this card, I used my brick embossing folder, stamped Merry Christmas in the corner and then brushed Tim Holtz Fire Brick Red over the whole surface.
I used a window die-cut and cut the bottom off to use as my mantel. I pop it up and hung the stockings on it.

Ruthie, this is such a sweet card. Love your mantel and those stocking on the hangers are adorable. I've been pondering a fireplace card with that folder, thanks for the idea!

Love the embossed brick wall...but my favorite part are those teeny tiny hangers holding the stockings! So cute! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!

Awesome card. Love how you built your fireplace with the embossing, die, and sponging. Looks great! The tiny hangers are fabulous and the stockings are adorable. The bows are a nice touch. Great card. Sweet memory of grandma and all the Christmas stockings hung up. TFS your card and story.
