I was so thrilled to be asked by Loll to be one of her Guest Designers again for her 2015 Twelve Tags of Christmas Mixed Media Event :-) Thank you again Loll for the honor !
*For this event, Mixed Media is defined as stamps + ink, plus two other elements which add texture and/or dimension.
Besides Loll's creative tags, she has 25 Guest Designers this year and great prizes. You will be so Impressed and Inspired by all the beauties. Then there is the Gallery...Wow!
My steps for my tag: Used my palette knife to spread gesso over the entire white tag. Let Dry.
Sprinkled Brushos Crystals onto my Craft Mat and spritzed with water then smooshed my tag onto inks. Let Dry. Repeated several times.
Same procedure with Gold Inka Gold Paste. Let Dry.
Die Cut SSS Winter Trees using Gold Foil Paper and again with another piece of Mixed Media Paper Smooshed with Brushos.
Attached Gold Die Cut trees to tag with Thin Tip Glue Pen and inlaid Brushos (green) trees into gold tree framing. When you die cut the trees you get negative and positive pieces. Then added the popped up sentiment labels, Scrunched Pear Pizzaz Seam Binding and gold ribbon.
Last step..Glittery Gold Stickles for snow. I loved the results and hope you do too! TFL...
Hope you get to join the fun. Be sure and click on the link for Loll's Day 7 event and be treated to 7 Days of amazing Creativity and Inspiration :-) Happy Christmas Tag Stamping my friends!

Nancy this looks incredible. Thank you for such a detailed description - I love how the tag base looks weathered with age and the pops of gold are gorgeous. Pinned and faved!!!

Beautiful tag, my friend! Love the gesso, brushos and inka gold background. Such amazing visual texture to the layering of the colours. The gold foil tree outline with the inlaid bright colours is gorgeous! Thanks so much for being a Guest Designer for my Twelve Tags of Christmas event!! xx
Wonderful tag, Nancy! I love the BG you created--I never thought of using gesso and then doing a watercolor wash! I'll have to try it. The gold and greens are so pretty together and I like the split sentiment labels!

Absolutely gorgeous, Nancy! Fabulous background - thanks for the step-by-step on how you did it - I'm going to follow those steps and make a background that way!

Wow, Nancy, this one is outstanding! Not only do I love the color combination, the pop of gold on the tree outlines is gorgeous! Your background is spectacular! Love the gold stickles you added to this adding to the magic!
What a pleasure it is to share the marquee with you for Loll's very special tag event, Nancy! I just adore your tree design and reading about how you made such a great fun mess and somehow it magically turned into this glorious and beautiful design!! Hugs, Darnell
