This is for Lee's fun CAS challenge - using either a hibernating critter OR something that keeps you cozy like a warm scarf or fuzzy blanket!!
I have used both, the tree house is warm and cozy and the critters are snuggled up inside. The door is shut, so you won't be able to see them.
I made this with the magic of a MISTI stamp positioner and Distress Inks. I started with smooth white card cut to 4" square. Stamp the tree house in MISTI using really faint ink. Remove card from MISTI but leave the tree stamp in place on the lid.
Mask the tree house - I have acetate masks that I store with stamp. Using Archival ink (not too black) stamp the background trees.
The background inking was done using Smack & Squirt technique (smack distress ink pad onto aluminium foil, squirt on a lot of water and swish and scrub foam blending tool over card.
I like the rectangular blending foam as you can put it on an edge and get really close to an image.
Remove mask and use an aqua brush to apply left over ink right up close to the image.
Once dry, return the card to MISTI and using Versafine ink, re-stamp the tree house.
Doodle border, add dotty tree stamp and dot on some white spots using Sharpie paint pen.
I hope this is considered CAS enough, the design is small albeit busy, but I purposely placed it on a large card base to give a lot of white.
Thank you for looking.

I love it!! Love all the work you put into it too!

Susie, I find it mind boggling how some one can take a small 4x4 piece of paper and come up with this kind of scene. Yes, read all the deets...someday I will try to follow them to a tee, and see what happens. This again is the best. Fav'd TFS

Susie...this is AMAZING!!! In more ways than one. Your scene is Spectacular! I love all the little details you put into it. And the great crispness the MISTI gave the fairy house (I have a reason for deciding that's what it is) is absolutely outstanding! I really like the wide white border. The other way this is Amazing is that this afternoon my dh and I were at our local garden center. Whenever I'm there I usually find my way to that section of the store where they display their little fairy gardens and have a great assortment of items you can buy to make your own. It's something I've been wanting to do for several years but have never gotten around to doing. Anyway, while there, as I was lusting after most of their stuff (I guess that's why I never created a fairy garden...I can't pick out just a few pieces. I want it ALL!) I spotted a cute little fairy house with a little round wooden door similar to the one in your Fabulous card and fell in love with it. I think it was about 5 inches high. Might have to go back and get it. What a neat, but freaky, coincidence.
