Once a month the Teapotters have a Tickle exchange wherein they send each other cards. The guest host for the October "Monster Mash" challenge was Faith (yabbadodo.) She challenged us to make a Halloween themed card. The teapot inspired mine. I hope the receiver likes it!
I applied three SU inks direct to my HA stamp and stamped the background. I sponges more color to define darks and lights. I punched the MS witches and laid them where I wanted them and then used a large post it note to make a mask (kind of like the teapot.) With the mask in place, I turned down the top (pointy part) and stamped my Stampotique skulls which I had lightly (wanted the image to be subtle) inked with SU going gray. I flipped the mask up and then stamped my IO (RAK--thank you!) stamp which I had inked with Versafine black. I sponged some areas with SU more mustard to add "light." I heavily inked the edges, pad to paper, with SU tangerine tango. I used a silver metallic Sharpie to add swirlies above the cauldrons (can't see in picture-drats) and also added silver dots to represent the witches MAGIC brew all over the card (they look white in the picture-drats again.) I added some silver sequins for more sparkle. Decorated the inside and stamped the envelope.
I am also adding my card to last Friday's F4A297 gallery, which called for fall colors.
THANKS for looking!

Oh, so cool! I love the way you created the background for your silhouettes, and the sequins look awesome! Terrific card!

Wow, Gabby, what a fabulous take on the teapot. It was beautiful, as is your card. This must be one of the best uses of sequins that I have seen. I'd love to see thus IRL, but I know the recipient will be thrilled to get it.
