My DH and I recently took a road trip to Indiana, with a stop in the municipality where Sallie lives. Sallie and her DH were kind enough to meet up with us and spend an afternoon at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was a wonderful meeting of a very lovely couple. Definitely time well spent.
There were two things that I wanted on that road trip, to meet Sallie and to see a (male) Cardinal. I met Sallie, and I did see a female Cardinal, the male chose to be elusive.
This road trip through the heartland of the USA will be memorable for a long time. There is a lot of beautiful open country out there.
