To create my background, I debossed a watercolor panel with a large background die from Impression Obsession. I turned the panel over and did a crayon rubbing on the raised areas, then applied black and orange Brusho powders to the panel. The crayon traps powder in smaller areas so you don't end up with a complete blend of the intended color, and it's really cool. The spider is die cut and popped on thick black foam, and he's covered with fuzzy Flower Soft. I added some hot glue dew drops to the web, which was fun. The sentiment is a partial image from a larger background stamp.

What a wonderful distressed look the crayon resist gives with Brushos. I've never been that successful with crayons, but I'm tempted to give this a go! It's a wonderful Halloween look.
