This is for Shannon's HYCCT1527BONUS challenge "Create a Cure" - to create a salted background for our cards.
Since I used a finer grain of salt, the effect is pretty subtle, but I like the way it turned out. I thought it would be perfect for this gorgeous stamp, and thanks to the MISTI I was able to get a great image on the watercolor paper. I stamped using VF Onyx Black several times and heat embossed with clear ep. The sentiment was stamped on a vellum tag, embossed and anchored beneath the butterfly with double-sided adhesive. I punched the butterfly from black cardstock, coated it with VersaMark and used clear ep to emboss it (twice). The gloss matches the embossing on the image and sentiment.
As always, thanks for looking!

Jody,
I have got to try that to emboss with clear embossing powder over colored cs. It has such a special look and adds so much beauty to the card!! Well done on the salt technique!!

So you raided the kitchen for the salt shaker now, huh? well, the effect is gorgeous and you have a SOFT "salty" BG for your embossed scene - LOVE the vellum tag anchored in the corner with the butterfly!!

This is so lovely, Jody. The finer salt effect is beautiful as a bg. Love the tilted angels with your stitched layer. From beginning to end, it added up to one wonderfully spectacular card, hands down.
