So - Angie (ohmypaper!) moved me out of my comfort zone and into Technique-ville for her HYCCT challenge of using the wrinkle-free distress technique on our card. I am beyond gun-shy on the technique front (they're usually messy, they take time, I almost never like the results, etc.), so this really was a challenge for me! I dutifully set about the task, though and, true to form, was NOT all that thrilled with the unevenness of the inking and the "bare" spots and what have you. I convinced myself that those "flaws" were what gave the tag character and charm, and carried on with the rest of the card...

Wonderful card! I love the neat image on your tag and the BG colors are perfect for it! I really like the layout with the trio of panels, too! Glad you tried a new technique.
That's exactly right Sue, the splatters and "bare" spots are part of the beauty of this technique! I am so glad you persevered! You created a gorgeous tag! Stunning, really! Wonderful silhouette and sentiment for your tag! Beautiful card. Thank you so much for giving the technique a try and playing along with my challenge!

Sue,
That tag is beautifully done in wonderful colors that support your wonderful image and awesome sentiment! Bare spots are needed for you to fill in with wonders and that is exactly what you did!! This really turned out great!!

Fabulous!! I'm more like you, but I'm learning to try the different techniques that could be a little messy. I love how your tag turned out. The image and sentiment are fantastic for it. I especially like the sentiment for the cause, too. It's amazing advice! Love your design and the polka-dot paper. Beautiful card! TFS and supporting HYCCT.
