This is my card for WT554 - second Try. First try went in the trash. :( I like the way this one turned out. I wanted to put the entire dictionary page on the card with the negative butterfly over it, but right on top, the word "butt" was glaring at me, so I used the matt stack dp instead. It's been around for a long time, but was the last page and I don't know what it was. Saving it for something special, I guess.
I inked the inside edge of the butterfly negative cut from the scrap and that made it look like the butterfly is on top of the scrap. Actually the butterfly negative is glued on top of the dictionary page so the word "butterfly" shows. I like how it turned out. I hope you do too.
I forgot to mention, my mom used to read the Dictionary. Maybe they were smaller then?

I actually think it's much more effective having that pretty floral print DP and the dictionary page, even if it wasn't your original plan, Carol.
The problem with snippets of text like that is that I always want to know what the rest of it says!!!

I vehemently disagree with your dictionary paper! "Butterfingers are not clumsy or awkward. They are the best candy bars ever. I should know .. I certainly eat enough of them. I love what you've done here. It's very creative, as always, and the outline really highlights your BF. Very creative, Carol. As for those books, there are just some things in life we cannot part with. Tell your little camper to buck up and accept the things he cannot change.

Carol. a wonderful and thoughtfully put together card. Love how you framed the butterfly definition with a butterfly die cut. The tiny floral DP makes a pretty choice.

I'm with Anne! I like butterfingers, too ... yum. Nice card! Love the pretty dictionary print butterfly on the lovely dp. "Butt" story duly noted and laughed at. Hee!

Very cute Carol. I like you used the 'butterfly' page on the die cut butterfly - how cute!! Lovely dp too.
