I got that stack of books as part of a Unity Kit of the Month a couple of years ago, and then later saw that girl reading on the 100 Proof Press website and bought it. I have been thinking of putting them together ever since, and at last I have. This card kind of evolved over the course of a few days. Once I had the girl and the books colored and put together, framing them kind of drove me crazy presented an interesting challenge. But I persevered because I'm hopelessly OCD that way it's so much fun to spend days on a card.

Love the detail of the books and your coloring/shading is just perfect. What a great vintage card, all of the elements work so well together--so all that effort was well worth it. Someone is going to feel very special when this card arrives! I'm a huge book-lover, so this card especially spoke to me. Well-done!

Oh I can so relate to this card...you really put all the elements together so well....that girl is awesome and her being on top of the large stack of books is brilliant! Your backing papers and border are perfect in every way..you really have a eye for backing up or framing your images in such interesting and appealing ways.

What a wonderful card! Everything goes so perfectly together and I love the girl sitting on the books with the text background. Time spent making this card was worth every minute - I'd have a hard time giving this one away.

Oh, I totally love this, Robin. I am a bibliophile, love books and the feel of them. What a wonderful pairing of images. All the script in your laboured-over background is, of course, perfect with the theme but the little floral spray is a brilliant addition.
