Not much to say about this except that it's a butterfly with a branch. I seem to have trouble working with stripes...so I avoid them like the plague. But this paper caught my eye and wouldn't let go. I guess it was the metallic stripes in it (which you can't really see in this photo). And now that I've really looked at this card it kind of looks like I tried to obliterate the stripes. My little mind was probably telling me, "Just cover it all up so you don't have to deal with it!" Maybe this is my Step 1 in a Deal With the Stripes program. Anyway, I guess my mind must have answered, "Be Quiet!" because after popping flowers, blings, etc. on it I decided to not put anything else over the stripes. And so here we have it...my first step in dealing with stripes. Anyhow, my husband likes it. But I still have this little niggling feeling that I just want to attach Something in the lower right corner...and maybe in the upper left corner. Don't know why I want to avoid stripes. Maybe because of something that happened to me in my childhood. Can't imagine what THAT could have been.

What a hoot you are, silly woman. I'm fairly confident your teacher in the "Get Over The Stripes" class gave you an A+. I love the yellow and your dies, ms. Ellen. I don't know why you just can't get over stripes. I don't think it needs one thing. I don't know why you can't get over stripes though. your story was a hoot. We need to get you involved in the challenges, girl. Your work is lovely and not to have it acknowledged by others, but I just don't understand why you can't get over stripes.
