This is for Color Challenge 552 - A Pistachio Party in the Sahara. The BG was made by inking up my IO Rose Lace CAC stamp, spritzing with a mini mister, then placing it gently down on top of my watercolor paper for a very watercolory effect. Then I die cut it into squares and glued the squares to my PP card stock. I knew I wanted to use this lovely lady as my focal, and I also loved the way the PP panel looked against Kraft. But the plain Kraft was not enough, so I added a panel of CAC swirls to the base and popped up the PP panel with dimensionals. I've been wanting to try this freehand twirly thread thing for ages, and I like how it looks under that little tree. I tried various ways of blinging this card up a bit with sequins and the like, but it really wanted me to let it stay simple.
Lovely colors this week. TFL!

What an amazing image - she looks perfect in kraft. She has such a pensive, wistful air.
I really like the way you cut the lace panel into squares - it gives a sort of window feel. But most of all I think I like the flourishes on the base, that has to be one of my all-time favourite CACs.

So pretty!! I love the image and I like that you didn't color it and kept it sepia and cream color. And once again your bg is so interesting and creative..the grouping of the squares is super cool and I agree it looks great on the kraft. The twirly thread is a fabulous detail for your little tree. Very artistically done.....

Oh, my gosh, that lace background is so very pretty. Love all the little squares too - I have always wanted to do that , but am afraid I'll put one on crooked and then get so frustrated. Well done.
