This is about the stage of fall we are in here in Dallas--mostly everything is still green, but there are touches of color here and there--summer's end. Yesterday it was in the low 80s. Today it was in the high 90s. If you don't like our weather, just hold your horses--it'll change soon. The bird represents the thousands of migratory birds that come through Big D this time of year.
This is the only piece of watercolor powders I have--it was a demo from a visit to Stamp Asylum. I brought it home and it has been waiting in my stash for the right time to use it. I stamped on it and colored the tree trunk and acorn with markers, touched up the leafy greenery in the tree.
The grunge down the side is done in both Cucumber Crush and Basic Black.

I'm glad that you had this waiting in the wings ready to use today! We still have a lot of greens here too, as we don't have the dramatic colour changes of New England - many leaves fall from the trees still green. So this could be Ireland, too! I love your acorn, envy you the birds.

I love the depth of colour you created with the brusho's, it's a great sample to keep and use later. You have created a beautiful autumn scene with it.
