This is for CC551 - Blushing Saffron Pears. I use SU Summer Starfruit as my yellow, and several greens. Interestingly, I started out with those Pistachio Pudding leaves, and they looked nice and green, but once I added the two warmer greens (the Spring Moss paper and the Lime Pastel ink) they took on a blue cast. My one pop of pink(ish) is that flower, which was stamped on VV and then spray-dyed with some mixture of re-inkers. It's more coral, but let's call it a coral pink. The lace was cut out of a strip of music turned on its side, and then I added a strip of an old dictionary page on top, also sideways. The pearl metallic button was already in a baggie I have of precut buttons (when I want to play but I don't have any ideas for a card, I often just make stuff and stick it in little baggies). The background is one I use often, I sometimes think too often, but who is to say what "too often" is? How about all those Japanese painters who painted the same mountain their whole lives, over and over. Did anyone give them a hard time? I don't think so.
In any case, thanks for the color combo, which drove me crazy for a little while, but in the end worked out, and by that I mean I ended up with a card I would actually send to some person. (Unlike the Inspiration Challenge card from last Saturday which I labored over but could not save from ugliness and had to send to the trash.)
TFL!

No, no, you don't use that script stamp too often at all, Robin! I always love seeing it on your cards. I'm very taken with the idea of using music paper to cut a border - I use it for all sorts of other things, birds, flowers, leaves...but I don't believe I've ever used it for lace and the vertical lines of the stave are very effective in it.
It would take me hours playing around with arrangements to come up with something I liked. I guess I never was much good at flower arranging in real life either, LOL.

Don't tell me you used that same script stamp again! Don't you have other bg stamps you could have used??? You know I'm just giving you the business....lol...I have a script stamp too and I love it! I really like your floral assemblage and how you fit in the pink color..I always stress out over the colors and think you have to use a lot of them..no just include it somewhere no matter how small. Love the precut button and the print and musical borders..lovely card ;)
