It was great today to have time to make a card for Stacy's Hearts for Hope challenge - and to combine it with today's sketch and Joan's TLC challenge from Monday. I rarely have time for the sketch challenge these days but always check it out, and this morning I was sure I could work it in with a trio of hearts.
Papers are KaiserKraft Tiny Woods, layered on Core'dinations and on a kraft base.
For the TLC, I used two red watercolours on some paper before die-cutting my hearts. Loved the effect this gave, and will definitely try again with a bigger die-cut where it's more obvious. I usually colour my die-cuts after cutting them...except when I'm cutting them from rejects from my scrap box ;-).
The owl was stamped on the assembled base and also on more watercolour paper for colouring and fussy cutting. There was no way I was going to cut those tiny leaves from thick watercolour paper, so I used Liquid Pearls to add those in afterwards.
This is the only "missing you" sentiment I could find. Afterwards I wondered should I have stamped it on kraft rather than the leafy green; I might change it.
I think the owl with her little heart is acting as a place-holder for the missing person - maybe someone in hospital for treatment. Hence the gap between the two bigger hearts...I played around with various arrangements and ended up with this one.

I love the symbolism of the gap between the hearts! What a cute little owl. I really like the outlining you did around the panels and the hearts. Makes them stand out nicely. Sweet card!
