I pieced the "barnboard" background with cardstock scraps that I inked on all four sides. (Wear gloves) Yes, some had to be trimmed to fit. This is so relaxing to do while watching TV. I added one of a different color for "interest" and it worked well to place the flower.
I did the same kind of piecing on the heart (and just realized at this minute that I glued and used my pattern. Yikes! Glued on the heart and flower and it's done. I love barns and barnboard so I love this.

Oh my! Carol this is stunning! It looks like real wood and I love the light and dark contrast and those flowers!!! The heart shaped wood -- this is really pretty and stunning!!
