Have you seen today's HYCCT challenge? I never would have thought to do anything like this if I hadn't seen this challenge. I basically just cut and glue patterned paper onto my cards. I've never thought to alter them or color them in any way. So I found some paper in my stash that had some funky floral patterns on it, but it was all in black and white and grays. I pulled out my Copic markers and just colored away. I then colored the flower petals with the Wink of Stella White pen, and then I sprayed the whole thing with a pale green glimmer mist. It's a gorgeous shimmery background which is hard to capture in a photo.
I then stamped the sentiment and sprayed that with the same pale green glimmer mist and cut it out with an oval die. I didn't want to cover up the background so I opted to use a see-through organdy ribbon with a simple knot.
