Just practicing with my Inktense pencils. My awesome SIL sent me a bunch of of her PTI Year of Flowers sets with the dies. Since it was a closed back die, I made a negative template to place it, then realized the black piece made a nice shadow. The gingham is stamped on vellum and attached to the base using my Xyron.
Not much of a much, but after working so hard to color this (coloring not being my wheelhouse) I had to then stick it on something. ;).
TFL!

Gorgeous card! Your gingham is beautifully stamped and LOVE your coloring on this! That daffodil just pops! I can relate to the hours needed to color. Your shading is impeccable. This is such a beautiful card and SO cheerful!

That shadow is so inventive..I love it! And as usual your bg pieces are so wonderful....a lovely pairing of the check with the white bg script. And your coloring is very good..it does take practise and time....I'm not good at practising (I only lasted 2 years taking piano lessons)....what a generous SIL you have ;)

Beautiful colouring on the daffodil, Robin. I certainly found it a steep learning curve when DH have me some for my birthday this year. The script background looks super, you inspired me to pull mine out recently as a background filler. I like the idea of black and green for the gingham, it gives a more sophisticated look than white which is all I would have thought of.
