This card is for Lydia's HYCCT challenge to depict our least favorite weather condition. For me, it is windy weather which is bad for allergies and dust, but can be good for kite flying. This card also honors my FIL who was a WWII Veteran and yet fought his greatest fight off the battlefield. His courage soared like these runaway kites in the contrary wind of cancer. He loved kites and hosted a family homemade kite flying contest every year. I hope this card encourages someone else's courage while dealing with a strong contrary wind. Also, this card is for the Color Challenge and dessert to include a "sky", which comes from the Cloudy Day EF. The kites were stamped on white, cut out and popped up. The kite tails were stamped on the layer. There are swirls lightly stamped with the sentiment for "wind". The finishing touch was paper piercing at the bottom. Thanks for taking a closer look. I hope you are enjoying the challenges!

What a fabulous sentiment of encouragement on your wonderful card! I love this sweet pair of kites in the clouds and your sweet memories of your father-in-law!

What a fantastic write up. Your FIL sure sounded awesome. It is so sad that very few are left from the generation that defended us in WWII. your card is wonderful...I am in love with that sentiment. I need to post it on the wall to see each day. The cloud ef was the perfect choice.
