It has been quite the challenging time for my mom's family. We lost my mom on the 5th, her sister on the 20th and now one of her brothers has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with probably only months to live. Scripture is what pulls me through and I wanted to send a card to my uncle and his family. I'm not sure what I tore this from, but had the Scripture already torn (I'm counting this as my newsprint). I also already had the bg piece made but it has been a while. I think I stamped the flourish first then stamped the leaves over that in Vanilla then embossed in white. I then brayered the dark Cajun ink over that, sponging more in the crevices of the leaves to bring more emphasis there. I distressed the edges of this and my Espresso and adhered to a Vanilla base.

I am sending my deepest sympathies to you and your family. One loss is hard to bear, especially when it is your mom. To loose an aunt, and soon an uncle, is devastating. You made a lovely, comforting card for your Uncle's family. Try each day to think of a special moment that you and your mom shared. Sending you comforting hugs.
