I can't believe we're coming to the end of the HYCCT Challenges. This one is hosted by the whole team and gives you free reign to browse the Tutorials and find one that's new to you to give a try. The cancer journey is all about learning new things-terminology, coping strategies, procedures, etc. Let's dive in and do the same today.
I was intrigued by the MISTI Marbling tutorial that Lydia posted at the beginning of September but with all that was going on in life, I hadn't had a chance to try it yet. I pulled some solid image photopolymer stamps out and lined them up on my MISTI. My first stamping was in Curry. I used my glove to daub Cajun next followed by Cherry and finally some Chocolate Chip. I wanted to the leaves to have more depth, so I then used a Sahara Sand marker and a blender pen to add some shading around. I wish I'd left well enough alone, but I decided to add sponging and then stamped spatter. My final step was to mask off my leaves and shake my Bronze Sharpie over the panel...wish I'd masked the sentiment too! I also used the Sharpie to dot some accents on the leaves and the color the edges of the image panel. I made this one 5x7" as I thought the scale would work better.
I'm throwing this one into the Free For All Challenge too which is to use Fall colors.
Are you playing along with us? If not, you're missing out on the chance to lift the spirits of women battling breast cancer at MD Anderson, and also on prizes from your favorite crafty companies. So what are you waiting for? Go stamp something pretty!

Gail,
Wow, love the colors on those leaves! It is gorgeous and with the added splatter it sure makes for an interesting card. So much beauty to look at all in your 5 x 7 card!!

Yay! I was hoping that this F4A would be compatible with most of the challenges for today!!! I love your leaves, they are so cool and kinda look like metal! Thanks for playing in our challenge!

Lovely leaves using your MISTI and the technique. Looks similar to inking a stamp with several colors and then spritzing before stamping, but guess there must be an advantage to using the "dream tool".

Oh my goodness your technique turned out so beautifully on these leaves. I so need to try this technique as I love all the great cards I have seen using it.
