I started this in the morning but had to leave to go to Hotel Transylvania 2 with my nephews. The card is somewhat inspired by that movie theme and this painting . It's probably a good thing I finished it this afternoon as it required some drying time and I'm not all that patient. I used a tree ef on a brushos bg (btw-the color on this is so hard to capture..the bg is a lot more purple..the camera picked out more pinks and white for the bg, and the leaves are a much deeper and truer royal purple). I mixed some modeling paste with re-inker to create the purple leaves..the tree is pewter liquid pearls that I applied with my finger and then went over with stickles to make it sparkle. Thanks for looking..I wish I could get a better picture but after about 25 tries I'm done!

I can picture it with a darker tone of purple. Like all the techniques used on this card. The pewter tree, and those very textured leaves. Really a very cool mixed media card. Hope you enjoyed the movie. Fav'd

Great, sophisticated-looking Halloween card, Polly! Love your Vampire-ess and the webby sentiment. The Brushos bkgrd is awesome and I'm envisioning more purple, less pink. I thought the leaves were crumpled tissue. I like the texture the paste gives them ... again, I'm thinking purple. And then there is the awesome tree. Brilliant to rub pewter on it and finish it off with Stickles. Just love the sparkle it brings to your card. xx
