Emily's challenge, HYCCT1518, is to use the work of the great masters as inspiration.
I have always loved the painting by Van Gogh, Starry Night, so it had to be my inspiration.
Love the colors of the work and the awesome swirls he achieved! Tried to get a bit of that using my finger daubers. Funny how the daubers that are getting worn out have some of the best affects when applying ink! You get a wispy look when they are starting to shred! TFL!!
Starry Night was one of the pictures that was part of the masterpiece program, so it was one of the first I learned to recognize, and I could tell right away that was your inspiration. Smart idea to use the daubers, and a lovely take on this classic! Thank you so much for participating in my HYCCT challenge!

When I read the description for this challenge, Starry Night was the first painting that came into my mind. (Guess I'll pick something else now.) Love your card with the silhouette buildings against your beautiful sky.

I am so glad someone did the Stary night on a card. It might be one of only 10 paintings I can say the name (probably because my son did a painting of it when he was 5). It is so beautifully done on this card.
