I made a very clean simple card on Friday using this stamp, and Anna's "White Wash!" MIX challenge as my jumping-off point.
But I wanted to make a more distressed antiqued card which was what I originally had in mind, so I started yesterday and finished after work today.
Image panel - stamped on watercolour paper with Versamark, embossed with gold EP, then coloured with distress inks - forest moss, peeled paint, mustard seed, tea dye, antique linen, vintage photo, barn door, tattered rose, mustard seed, wild honey - and sponged with antique linen and various browns. The edges were distressed, and to add to the aged look I stamped Gorgeous Grunge in pumice stone, and the splash from French Foliage in white. It's layered up on gold mirri card and red Bazzill.
Banner - sponged with Antique Linen, die-cut, sentiment added, then sponged in the die with greens.
For the base - I had a square piece of green made to use up some dilute re-inkers left over from preparing to make a bokeh background. So that was my starting point. I stencilled it with the harlequin stencil and sprinkled mostly gold EP over it, with a little addition of blue and verdigris, and then blasted it with the heat gun. Today I stamped Gorgeous Grunge in Versamark and embossed with red, before adding gold acrylic paint all round the edges. It was a bit hard to add score lines with all the embossing, but after adding the gold mesh ribbon I decided it needed another vertical element, so I scored two lines on each side and used luster rub-ons to emphasise them.

This is beautiful Sabrina! I love the gold and it works so beautiful with the colors you chose (I especially love the red you used for the tree pot). It has a beautiful antique look that is inspiring me to try something along this theme, I haven't used any of my gold materials yet but I'm looking forward to it now lol! Love the ribbon and scoring as well, it really gives it more depth.

What a wonderfully crafted "vintage looking" card, Sabrina!! These colors look so perfect together with the gold bringing them altogether in a regal fashion. Using the modeling paste and the gold mesh ribbon just seems to bring out the 'glow' in the rest of your card - awesome job on this!!

Pinned and faved before I wrote a word. Oh my gosh Sabrina this is fabulous. Thanks for the great description, I wouldn't know where to start!! It is hard to believe it is the same stamp used for the MIX Challenge. I bought gold EP and a harlequin stamp last week and thought of you...and here they are together!!

Wow - what a gorgeous piece of art, Sabrina! Your image choice with your spectacular gilding is inspired, your coloring flawless. Your background is too beautiful to be covered, yet the perfect foil for your focal point. Everything about this is simply extraordinary.
