I was inspired by THESE CUPCAKES. I used a bird as my main image, stamped in brown, like the brown birds on the cupcakes, and then colored the bird in browns and the rest in a pastel palette (to mimic the icing). This was the first time breaking out my Inktense pencils since buying them over a year ago. Duh. Why did I wait so long?

This is lovely Robin. I really like the color scheme and your bird image. You have a wonderful way of combining borders with stamped bgs to surround your main image...I really like how you did this one. And of course your trademark tilt is always very pleasing ;)

You know I love script in the background! I'm interested to see how well the scalloped edge works with the chevron design, I would never have thought of pairing them. That's lovely soft colouring with your Inktense pencils, picking up perfectly on your inspiration.

Robin, this is beautiful! I love the different shapes and patterns you combined with your lovely image.
