I was thrilled to be asked by Mary if I would like to join the very talented Color Combo Challenge Team as one of their September Guest Designers. This is one of my top SCS Favorite Challenges so of course I said, "Yes, I would Love to join in the fun". Thanks again Mary for the invite and to the team for a warm welcome.
For CC546 Hostess Peggy picked Cucumber Crush, Tangelo Twist (I used Tangerine Tango) and Rich Razzleberry. Dessert: Black and/or White. I used both colors on my card.
I was also able to combine my challenge with this weeks Feature Stamper (FS447) Alex aka punch-crazy. Congratulations Alex one of our new Dirty Girls for August :-)
I used a fun technique to watercolor the Cone Flowers. I colored my stamp with SU markers and then spritzed lightly then stamped on my paper. I liked the light watercolor results. I then punched out my butterfly with DSP and covered with Versamark. Sprinkled on clear EB powder and heat set it. Adds such a pretty shine. Attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen after bending wings with stylus.
I added a little sentiment and Wink of Stella to the flowers. Love how the black layer made the main image pop. Thanks for offering this Dessert Peggy.
Enjoy and hope you get to play along with us this week. Great Color Combo Peggy.

I love this stamp, Nancy, and am so sorry I gave it away at some point! I really like how you spritzed it for a bit of a watercolor effect - I love that look, and I love how you did your sentiment too!

Your watercoloured coneflowers are so pretty Nancy! What a great image for this technique. Love the bright, fun colours for the challenge. And congrats on being a Guest Designer for the CC Challenge! xx
Nancy, Your flowers look like you water colored them with a brush and your color combination is yummy. I love the simple layout with the black layer behind the flowers. Gorgeous!
